Genetic Trait Analyzer

Summarize known trait modifiers and mechanics from community data — with clear confidence.

What this does

Adds up verified stat modifiers, lists special mechanics, and flags unknown values.

How to read results

  • Verified: counted in totals
  • Unverified (?): shown but not counted
  • Mechanics: non-numeric effects

Quick uses

  • Decide keep vs reroll cats faster
  • Pick complementary partners for breeding
  • Identify risky defects before investing

How it works

This tool summarizes trait effects from community datasets. It separates verified numeric modifiers from special mechanics, and clearly flags unknown values with ?.

1) You select traits

Choose Head, Eyes, Body, etc. The tool looks up each selection in the dataset.

2) We parse effects

Numeric text like “+2 Spd, -1 Str” is extracted into totals. Mechanic-only effects are listed separately.

3) Confidence is shown

If a selection is unknown/unverified, it’s excluded from verified totals and reduces coverage.

Example

If a trait has “+1 Int, +1 Cha”, those values are added to your verified totals. If it has “10% chance to reflect projectiles”, it appears under Mechanics. If it’s “?”, it’s marked Unverified and not counted.

Confidence & Coverage

We separate verified numeric modifiers from mechanics, and mark unknown values with ?. Confidence is based on how many of your selected traits are verified.

Coverage

Verified selections / total selections.

What “?” means

Unknown or unconfirmed values in current datasets.

Decision playbook

Use the output to make faster decisions: keep vs reroll, role fit, and breeding partner selection.

Keep vs reroll

  • Coverage ≥ 80% → your totals are reliable for quick decisions.
  • Multiple unverified traits → treat totals as partial and prioritize mechanics.
  • Birth defects flagged → evaluate if the downside is worth the build payoff.

Role fit

  • Dex/Spd → positioning, initiative, avoidance-heavy styles.
  • Int/Cha → spell/control/support leaning builds.
  • Str/Con → melee pressure and survivability baselines.

Breeding partner selection

  • Complement weaknesses: pair high Spd/Dex with high Con for stability.
  • Stack synergies: match traits that imply similar mechanics or tags (e.g., Wet → end-turn bonuses).
  • Risk management: avoid stacking multiple defect flags unless you’re aiming for a niche payoff.

Pro tip

If you’re unsure, prioritize mechanics that change combat rules (immunity, extra actions, special triggers). They often outperform small stat deltas.

FAQ

Quick answers to common questions about verified data, unknown values, and confidence.

Is the result guaranteed?
No. This site summarizes verified community data and marks unknown values with “?”. Use it for decision support, not guaranteed outcomes.
What does “?” mean?
It means the value is unverified or unknown in current community datasets. These entries do not contribute to the verified stat total.
How is Confidence calculated?
Confidence is based on coverage: verified selections / total selections. Mechanic-only traits count toward coverage but not verified stat totals.
Can I report missing values?
Yes. Click “Report value” next to an unverified trait and submit what you observed (ideally with a screenshot).
Why do some traits have effects but no stats?
Some traits provide special mechanics (e.g., backstab immunity) rather than numeric modifiers. We list them under Mechanics.
Does this work for breeding outcomes?
This tool evaluates trait modifiers on a cat. Breeding outcomes depend on additional genetics and house factors; use House Logic for risk/comfort.
