Mewgenics Item Guides
These are decision-first item guides, not wiki-style effect summaries. Each page answers the real questions: who should carry it, who should not, what the actual downside is, and when the route is worth doing.
Black Shard
This is not a single-run power spike. It is a long-term investment item.
Black Shard is a Zaratana quest weapon that scales through kills across runs and later becomes a route-finishing item for The Core and The Coven.
Cryogenic Time Chamber
This is not a reward-first item. It is a corpse-cleanup check.
Cryogenic Time Chamber is a Dr. Beanies quest item that must be carried into the Throbbing Domain to capture the Throbbing King's heart, then returned to the time machine in The Lab for repair.
Guillotina’s Head
This is not a hard-mode item. It is a population-for-progression trade.
Guillotina’s Head is a cursed quest face armor obtained after defeating Guillotina for the third time. It makes battles harder, marks one cat as the key carrier, and is later sacrificed at the Throbbing Domain altar.
Putrid Leech
This is not a lifesteal item. It is a VIP-escort item.
Putrid Leech is a cursed quest item gained after the second Guillotina attack. While carried, the holder cannot level up and dies immediately when downed, but gains lifesteal on all attacks and abilities.
Scalding Orb
This is not a damage item. It is a relay-and-delivery quest item.
Scalding Orb is a Pyrophina quest reward that must be carried through the Desert and into the Moon route, where it is used on the Man in the Moon.
Throbbing Gristle
This is not a normal power item. It is an escort test that trades team error tolerance for route progression.
Throbbing Gristle is a progression quest item tied to the Guillotina route and later delivery objectives.
